Our Little Roses Home

"The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert
shall rejoice and blossom as the rose.”
-Isaiah 35:1
When a girl comes to Our Little Roses, she is given love, attention, and
a Christian education. The idea that she is able to do anything with her life is
stressed throughout. The girls of the Home are sent out into the community, to
one of seven different schools so that they can receive an education that is
tailor made to them and their academic strengths.
In only 10 years of operation Our Little Roses is starting to reap the
fruits of its labor. Some of the first girls who entered the home have graduated
from their schools, many with honors. These girls are not stopping either,
almost all have decided that they want to continue their education at a college
level.
Our Little
Roses seems to affect the lives of all the people who come in contact with its
ministries. Many of the friends and families of the girls were also trapped in a
cast-like system, which they accepted as normal. When they see their daughters,
sisters, nieces, friends striving beyond these glass ceilings, it inspires them
to change their lives as well.
