A full-time Residential Education Center for girls who deserve a childhood filled with love

Our Little Roses provides a full-time residential home for abused, abandoned, and neglected girls in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, a country often marked by extreme poverty and violence. The girls we serve are infants, toddlers, young girls, and teenagers who come from overwhelming circumstances, including poverty, physical or sexual abuse, abandonment, and oppression, leaving them vulnerable, afraid, and without control over their lives.

For almost 40 years, Our Little Roses has rescued these girls from extreme risk and raised them in a safe, secure, and loving home where many receive, for the first time, a balanced diet, medical and dental care, spiritual formation, access to education, and a loving and nurturing home. Our vision is to prepare these once-frightened and marginalized girls to become compassionate, self-reliant, and respected members of society. With a strong emphasis on education, our girls gain the skills needed to break generational cycles of poverty, abuse, and illiteracy.

There is nothing like coming together with Our Little Roses — whether we hike, play kickball, or dance, we find a heartwarming experience with girls that lasts until the next year when we meet again.

Even 20 years later, I still think of the girls every day — of the love they shared and how their resilience and the power of consistency shaped how I move through the world.

We instantly gravitated toward each other, and I could already see who they were becoming — I know they'll do great things.

I felt incredibly safe and well cared for throughout my stay in Honduras. The connections I made were deeply meaningful, and this opportunity has enabled me to approach new experiences with confidence.
